They faced challenges with maintaining consistent brand experience across different regional stores while meeting unique market requirements and technical constraints.

First, I immersed myself in their brand world - motorcycles, surf culture, fashion, and that distinctive Deus attitude. Understanding their aesthetic and voice was crucial for all technical decisions.
I mapped their entire platform ecosystem, identifying the connections between regional stores and finding opportunities to streamline while preserving regional flexibility.
For the design phase, I worked closely with creatives, providing technical guardrails that would preserve their vision while ensuring the site would actually work. Too often designers create beautiful mockups that fall apart in real-world browsers - my job was preventing that outcome.
When developing their Shopify theme, I focused on creating a system that could flex across regions without requiring complete rebuilds for each market. This meant smart use of theme settings, modular components, and clever CSS architecture.
Throughout the process, we maintained weekly check-ins to adjust priorities and ensure continuous progress.
